I recently did a fear of flying course in a simulator with Captain Theo, and it was an incredible experience. Before the flight, he took the time to explain every sound you hear on an airplane, everything about turbulence, and asked me questions about my own fears. He really helped me think rationally about my irrational thoughts.
We then did a simulated flight to Brussels with live weather. I was quite nervous at the start and even had a little cry, but Captain Theo stayed so calm and reassuring that he quickly put me at ease. He explained everything step by step, never rushed me, and even showed me how planes have double of every system – not just copies, but completely separate backups.
His calm approach and clear explanations made a huge difference, and I feel much more confident about flying now

In één woord: Fantastisch
- We hadden perfect weer, daardoor een rustige en mooie vlucht gehad.
Piloot Ludo heeft de gehele vlucht een extra tintje gegeven door veel uit te leggen en te vertellen over de omgeving. - Duidelijk aangeven waar iemand wordt opgehaald.
In a word: Fantastic
- We had perfect weather, therefore had a calm and beautiful flight.
Pilot Ludo added an extra touch to the whole flight by explaining and telling a lot about the area. - Clearly indicating where someone would be picked up.

Peter is super vriendelijk en sympathieke instructeur. Wegens verkeerde tram in Ypenburg, kwamen we half uur te laat aan en toch heeft hij alle tijd genomen voor ons, waarvoor ik hem zeer dankbaar voor ben. Hij kan zeer goed uitleggen, met af en toe een vraagstelling (wat zeer interactief maakt).
Mijn dochter heeft coor de "vlucht" in de simulator, wat technisch uitleg gehad, wat zeer fijn was.

Peter is super friendly and sympathetic instructor. Due to wrong tram in Ypenburg, we arrived half an hour late and yet he took all the time for us, for which I am very grateful. He can explain very well, with occasional questioning (which makes very interactive).
Before the "flight" in the simulator, my daughter had some technical explanations, which was very nice.

Een fantastische ervaring. Piloot Tim legde al het nodige rustig en deskundig uit. Op een vriendelijke wijze.
- Zelf mogen vliegen is heel bijzonder.
- De passagier kon achterin wel mee luisteren maar niet praten want de headset kon niet worden aangesloten.
A fantastic experience. Pilot Tim explained everything calmly and expertly. In a friendly manner.
- Being allowed to fly yourself is very special.
- The passenger in the back could listen in but not talk because the headset could not be connected.

Het was een heel leuke en leerzame ervaring in de Blackshape.
- De instructeur gaf veel en duidelijke uitleg. Ik mocht veel zelf vliegen waarbij de instructeur goede begeleiding gaf en mij ook G-krachten liet ervaren.

Spannend, maar een leuke ervaring
- Rustige begeleiding
- We moesten even zoeken op het terrein bij Aachen waar we precies moesten zijn. Er hingen meerdere bordjes, dus kies je snel de verkeerde deur
Exciting, but a fun experience

- We had to search for a while on the grounds near Aachen to find exactly where we were supposed to be. There were several signs hanging with "Westflug", so you quickly pick the wrong door

Gave ervaring, wel wat kort, door de bewolking. Zeker een aanrader.

De stilte boven - Kort en voelde beetje gehaast, tussen gedrukt.
Cool experience, a bit short though, due to cloud cover. Definitely recommended.

Vond het heel boeiend en zeer positief
- Met mijn eigen ongeveer 700 vlieguren in SE-Land vliegtuigen was dit een heel leuke ervaring die ik binnenkort nog eens wil overdoen

Ik vond het een geweldige ervaring.

- Je ben zo druk bezig met het vliegtuig onder controle te houden dat je geen tijd hebt om van je omgeving te genieten.

Wij vonden het super, fantastisch!
Zo’n mooie ervaring… een wens van mij-Julia- is in vervulling gegaan.. en voor Joris smaakt naar meer. Chapeau voor Boris, hij die ons liet zweven!

- Als je op veld bent dat er helemaal geen communicatie is, van hoe en wat, tijdens het wachten tot je aan de beurt bent!

Vlucht op zich is leuken en vond het ontzettend gaaf om even het vliegtuig te besturen.
- Even echt zelf in control
- Men is vergeten de video te maken en dat is echt balen want het kan niet even over.
Flight in itself is fun and thought it was incredibly cool to pilot the plane for a while.

De vlucht was geweldig!
- Mooi gebied, mooie vliegtuigen.
- "De instructeur wisselde slechts een paar woorden met mij. Wanneer ik uit interesse een vraag stelde, kreeg ik geen antwoord of alleen met moeite een reactie. Tijdens de vlucht reageerde hij ook niet op vragen, en hij vertelde niets over de omgeving, het vliegtuig of andere zaken. Is dit wellicht normaal?

- "The instructor only exchanged a few words with me. When I asked a question out of interest, I got no answer or only a response with difficulty. During the flight, he did not respond to questions either, and he did not tell anything about the environment, the aircraft or other things. Is this perhaps normal?

Geweldig! Onze instructeur, Peter, super vriendelijk, nam de tijd om alles uit te leggen, fijn om samen mee te trainen. Simulator zelf is super!
