Cessna 172 Simulator Gouda

Have you always wanted to know what it's like to sit at the wheel of a Cessna 172? You can now do so with this full-motion flight simulator of the Cessna. Full-motion means that the cockpit moves with you: rotates and tilts. This makes it look like you are really flying. The nice thing about a flight simulator is that you are not really flying. So it is also very suitable if you are less agile, if you want to fly yourself inexpensively or perhaps have a fear of flying. The experience is very close to what it is like to fly yourself in a 172. It also gives you the chance to try out everything that is not possible in a real aircraft. Like flying in extreme weather.

Full-motion simulator

Not only is the cockpit an exact replica, all the buttons and instruments work as they do in real life. And the cockpit also moves with you. It is not for nothing that real pilots are trained in this simulator. This flight simulator is a very special one. It is a so-called Redbird FMX, the only one in the Netherlands.

Theory

You start with a detailed explanation of the basics of flying. In this 'briefing', the instructor answers the most important questions: what are all the buttons, lights and other instruments for? Of course, you can also ask all your questions yourself. If you bring someone along with you, they can of course also attend the introduction. Then you both know what you are going to experience 'in the air'. You don't have to pay extra for this.

The theory part always lasts about 20 minutes, regardless of the length of time you choose for the practical part.

Practice

Then you get into the simulator and start flying to an airport of your choice. Maybe you want to simulate another technical failure? Anything goes. Normally, this simulator is used to train pilots for their Private Pilot Licence (PPL) or Instrument Rating (IR). From now on, you will know what that feels like!

How long the practical part lasts is up to you. The minimum is 20 minutes. But the longer, the more fun, of course!

Afterwards

After you have "landed", a drink will be waiting for you and you can reminisce with explanations from the instructor.
