Airbus A320 training and grading

Our simulator

You will train in a Flightdeck Systems non-certified A320 static simulator. This simulator has a 180-degree visibility system. Naturally, the Airbus has dual controls. This allows the instructor to fully assume the role of co-pilot. The lack of certification favours the hourly rate, but the underlying software is FNPT II MCC capable, so there is no compromise on the capacity and reality of our simulator. This is a professional simulator and it shows in everything.

What can you expect?

In a 4-hour session, you will receive complete training for a grading, including 2 hours of (de)briefing and 2 hours in the simulator. During your grading, the focus is mainly on your flying ability and less on knowledge of specific procedures. You will therefore mainly train Basic Flying Skills. Raw Data Flying, without autopilot or navigation aids, is always part of the training. In addition, you will navigate on the basis of beacons and instruments, without help from the on-board computer. Our instructors have experience grading several operators in Europe, and can prepare you expertly. When booking, please indicate which company invited you for grading, so we can take this into account in the planning.

Approach of Failure training

In consultation with the instructor, you fill in the training as you wish. For example, if you want to practise a specific approach or failure. In a single session you train, for example:

• approaches and landings at Paro International Airport in Bhutan
• landings on Skiathos
• flying to Atlanta during rush hour
• departing from Innsbruck with low-hanging clouds

Or one of the many failures such as:

• engine failures
• hydraulic failures
• failure related to flight controls
• circuit breaker trips
• fuel failures
• navigation failures

Preparation

You will have received documentation from the company with the invitation to the grading. This includes what they expect from you, what you need to prepare and what the grading programme looks like. Bring this documentation with you to your training session. If you choose a session with a certified instructor, these documents will be provided by the instructor. In the preflight briefing, go through the training programme so that it is exactly tailored to your grading.

Instructors

With us, you can choose training by an experienced pilot, or training by a certified trainer. Our instructors have experience with gradings from various renowned airlines such as: Wizz Air, EasyJet and Aer Lingus. Most instructors have thousands of hours in their logbook, and some even TRI papers. This ensures that you will enter the cockpit with someone with the right knowledge and experience. You will get relevant feedback in the debriefing. After our training, you will face your grading with confidence.
